BASEL (SWITZERLAND), OCT. 27. Taylor Dent and Paradorn Srichaphan failed to clear the first hurdle in the $1.25 million Swiss Indoors tennis tournament on Tuesday. Dent was toppled by Swiss wildcard Ivo Heuberger 6-2, 6-3, while Stefan Koubek upset Srichaphan 6-7 (7), 6-4, 6-3.
Bhupathi-Gambill win
India's Mahesh Bhupathi and his American partner Jan-Michael Gambill edged past Australian Jordan Kerr and American Jim Thomas 7-6(1), 6-7(6), 7-6(4) in the doubles first round match at the Stockholm Open.
