Mag alloy wheels for Bajaj bikes

By Our Special Correspondent

CHENNAI, OCT. 27. Bajaj Auto is planning to introduce mag alloy wheels on two of its top-end bikes. These wheels will be imported from China.

Indicating this to presspersons in an informal chat, R. L. Ravichandran, Vice-President (Business Development and Marketing), said Bajaj Auto had already tied up with a Chinese supplier for importing these wheels.

Bajaj had picked top-end Pulsar and the just-introduced Discover to introduce mag alloy wheels. These mag alloy-fitted vehicles would hit the market in December.

Earlier addressing a press conference, he asserted that the launch of the 125cc four-stroke Discover would drive Bajaj to top position in Tamil Nadu where Hero Hondo led the motorcycle market.

Mr. Ravichandran said the gap between the two in Tamil Nadu was just around 3,500-4,000 vehicles what with Bajaj selling about 8,200 units a month between April-September.
