A-1 status sought for city

HYDERABAD,
OCT. 27.
The State unit of the Confederation of Central Government Employees and Workers has urged the Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, to take up with the Centre the issue of granting Hyderabad A-1 class city status for payment of House Rent Allowance (HRA).
In a memorandum to Dr. Reddy, a delegation of the confederation requested that a resolution recommending reclassification of the city be adopted in the coming Assembly session. P. Madhu, CPI(M) MP, led the delegation.
