Teachers' plea to revive common service rules
HYDERABAD,
OCT. 27.
Demanding revival of common service rules, hundreds of teachers affiliated to various unions took out a rally here today. They later staged a dharna. The teachers formed the Upadhyaya Sanghala Porata Samithi (USPS) to take up the agitation.
The United Teachers Federation honorary president, P. Krishna Murthy, the UTF treasurer, M. Samyuktha, and P. Subba Reddy, State Teachers' Union president, addressed the agitators. They demanded immediate revival of common service rules for Panchayat Raj and Government teachers and implementation of G.O. No. 62.
