Environment campaign to be held in districts

HYDERABAD, OCT. 27. The Hyderabad-based Deccan Development Society has been appointed by the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests as the regional resource agency for Andhra Pradesh for conducting the national environment awareness campaign 2004-05.

The society is conducting region-wise workshops to guide NGOs, educational institutions and community organisations to participate in the campaign.

The workshops are to be conducted at the mini hall of the Sundarayya Vignana Kendram, Bagh Lingamapally on November 2 for Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda and Medak districts, on November 3 at Hotel Srinivasa, Karimnagar, for Karimnagar, Adilabad, Nizamabad and Warangal districts, on November 5 at Sabha Bhavan, Cuddapah Collectorate, for Anantapur, Chittoor, Cuddapah, Kurnool and Nellore districts, on November 7 in Vijayawada for Prakasam, Krishna, Khammam, Guntur, West Godavari districts and on Novermber 8 in Visakhapatnam Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam and East Godavari districts.
