RAJAHMUNDRY, OCT. 28. Ten wagons of a goods train jumped the tracks near Annavaram in East Godavari district in the early hours of Thursday. According to railway sources here, the accident occurred immediately after the train passed Annavaram station at 4.30 a.m. No injuries to crew or guard were reported. The derailment was on the "main line" between Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada and regular services on this section were being regulated on a single line. The South Central Railway authorities cancelled the Rajahmundry-Visakhapatnam passenger, and terminated the service of Vijayawada-Visakhapatnam passenger between Rajhmundry and Visakhapatnam. The train with 58 wagons was carrying coal from Talcher in Orissa for the Vijayawada Thermal Power Station (VTPS) at Kondapalli.
