AMRITSAR, OCT. 28. About 100 artists from Pakistan are expected to participate in the two day long Virasat Mela (heritage fair) to be held at Guru Gobind Singh stadium, Jalandhar from November 19. This was disclosed by Punjab minister for public works department Partap Singh Bajwa after his return from Lahore while talking to newsmen here today. Mr Bajwa alongwith his wife Charanjit Kaur Bajwa had gone to Lahore on 26th to invite the artists and to see old heritage, monuments and to discuss their preservation with experts there. Advocating for opening of Hussianiwala and Wagah border for masses in general, Mr Bajwa said that this move will help to strengthening the economy in the Central Asia and will promote tourism despite the revival of cultural heritage and trade. -- UNI
