During simultaneous raids conducted in Mahabubnagar and Hyderabad, authorities found three houses in Sainathnagar and Vanasthlaipuram, four house plots in Hayatnagar and other areas, bank deposits, gold ornaments and other valuables all worth Rs. 35 lakhs. He was being produced before a magistrate.
`Incorrect' report: HC directs Seer's counsel to file plea
On Wednesday the Bench heard at length the arguments in the writ petitions filed pertaining to Thousand Pillars Mandapam at Thirumala, which was demolished by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam. The cases were adjourned to November 23 and it was made clear that all the parties should observe restraint. During the course of the arguments, the counsel for China Jiyar Swamy informed the court that he would be reporting to the court again on November 1. However, a section of the press on Thursday reported that the High Court had passed orders restraining the China Jiyar Swamy's disciples taking out a car rally. The counsel for China Jiyar Swamy, M.S. Ramachandra Rao, made a mention to the Division Bench on Thursday complaining that incorrect version of the proceedings and orders were being published and his client was put to hardship. The Bench said that it would look into matter only when appropriate application was filed regarding the alleged incorrect reporting.

Pulichintala today
Venkata Reddy and others filed writ petitions challenging the action of the Government in going ahead with the project without obtaining appropriate clearance including environmental clearance from the statutory authorities. After hearing the writ petitioners and the Advocate General, the Bench on Thursday heard the arguments on behalf of various persons hailing from the Krishna Delta area.

Enukonda Subramanyam of Tirupati, who was elected the State president of the sangham, demanded that 25 per cent of the seats in the 25 `ashram' schools run for the fishermen community by the Government be reserved for the wards of barbers as a measure to liberate them from the drudgery of pursuing the family profession. Announcing this after commissioning a 24-hour call centre at the Police Control Room, the Director-General of Police, S.R. Sukumara, told reporters on Thursday that a special team had already been set up in Hyderabad.

Public meeting on Pulichintala

The Nirmal MLA, A. Indrakaran Reddy, the Sirpur MLA, Koneru Konappa, and the Boath MLA, Soyam Bapu Rao, also called on the victims. Meanwhile, a press release by Collector J. Sudha Rani, stated that the management of the company had agreed to pay ex gratia to the next of kin of the deceased, besides providing a job to the legal heir. An ex gratia of Rs. 5,000 was also announced to the 29 injured workers.
