THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, OCT. 28. The Leader of the Opposition, V. S. Achuthanandan, has said that the Congress leader, V. M. Sudheeran, should have complained to the Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy, about the conduct of the Kozhikode ice cream parlour case rather than trying to raise charges against his office. In a statement here today, Mr. Achuthanandan said if Mr. Sudheeran had any political scores to settle, he should do so on his own and not try to do so at his expense. Mr. Sudheeran was an MP when the ice cream parlour case arose. He had observed silence about it at the time. His attempt now was to write a letter to him and leak it to the media to settle political scores. This was most uncalled for and was meant only to cover up the failure of his partymen to conduct an effective probe into the Kiliroor sex scandal, the Leader of the Opposition said.
