Labourer found dead

By Our Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI, OCT. 28. A labourer was found dead in a garment designing unit at Rohini in North-West Delhi today. One of the designing machines in the unit was also found missing. According to the police, the incident came to light when Rishi Grover, one of the three partners, reached the unit at B-Block, Sector-16, in Rohini around 8-45 a.m. He spotted the body of Arvind Yadav, a resident of Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh, lying on the floor in one of the rooms. There were stab wounds on Arvind's body. One of the two designing machines, costing around Rs. 10 lakhs, was also found missing.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Arvind used to sleep in the unit -- which had started about a year ago and was jointly owned by Rishi, Joginder Mahajan and Dilip Narula -- after work. The police said the entry into the unit, a big house taken on rent, looked friendly. There were also no signs of Arvind offering resistance indicating that he might have been attacked suddenly.
