India Semiconductor Association formed
CHENNAI: A national platform to promote the semi-conductor industry is launched with the formation of India Semiconductor Association (ISA). The new body, a non-profit organisation, will create global awareness about the Indian semiconductor industry outside of the generic IT umbrella. Further, it will create a win-win interaction among industry, government, academia and venture capitalists, says a release. The executive council of ISA will comprise among others Sridhar Mitta (Chief Mentor), Rajendra Khare (Chairman), Anand Anandkumar (Vice-Chairman), Uma Mahesh (Secretary) and V. Veerappan (Treasurer), the release added. — Our Special Correspondent
