BANGALORE, OCT. 29. Southern Command scored another impressive victory in the Army Inter-Command hockey championship on Friday. Southern Command beat Eastern Command 5-1. Sharandeep Singh converted a corner in the ninth minute, Ranjit Bhengra had a brace (35th and 69th), R. Dung Dung (55th) and Bhikshal Bhengra (65th) also scored for Southern Command. D. Ravi scored for Eastern Command. Earlier, Central Command pulverised Northern Command 16-0. S.P. Tirkey (4th, 8th, 60th, 61st and 64th) was the top scorer followed by Harjit Singh (17th, 21st, 32nd and 40th), S.K. Minj (13th, 53rd and 69th), Sudhir Minj (34th), Rajpal Singh (37th), P Khakha (38th) and Paramjit Singh (50th).
