India has chosen the right course unlike some other countries, Mr. Gorbachev was quoted as telling India's Ambassador, Kanwal Sibal. The envoy called on the last Soviet leader on Thursday.
Mr. Gorbachev said his attitude to India, which was always very friendly, had become even more positive and respectful now.
