Vijayawada
By Our Staff Reporter
VIJAYAWADA, OCT. 29. The entrance to the K. L. Rao Park would be given a facelift to attract more visitors, said the Municipal Commissioner, V. Usha Rani, after visiting the park on Friday. She said though the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) had spent lakhs of rupees to provide facilities for boating, skating and shooting, there had been a marked drop in the number of visitors to the park. She urged the officials to re-introduce boating, which was discontinued for want of patronage, to attract visitors. More people would visit the park if the main entrance was shifted to K. T. Road, Usha Rani said. The Commissioner inspected a cement concrete road that was laid at a cost of Rs. 22 lakhs near the park.
