2 held, stolen property recovered

HYDERABAD,
OCT. 29.
The Central Zone police have arrested two persons at Abids and Nampally and recovered stolen property worth over Rs. 3 lakhs from them.
The zone DCP, B. Srinivasulu, told a press conference on Friday, that an autorickshaw driver, Nabi Rasool (25), was arrested by the Nampally police at Teki mosque for his alleged involvement in several house burglaries. Thirty-four tolas of stolen gold ornaments, 1.25 kg of silver and a VCP were recovered from him.
Stating that Rasool was sent to juvenile home when he was 15 years old after being caught by the Habeebnagar police in a property offence, Mr. Srinivasulu said that on getting released, he resorted to burglaries again and was sentenced to two-year imprisonment in the year 2000.
The Abids police arrested an ex-convict, P. Narsimha (35), and recovered 4.5 tolas of jewellery and one kg of silver articles from him.
