BANGALORE, OCT. 30. Maharatta Light Infantry `B' routed Vasu Sports Club (Hubli) 7-1 in the semifinal league of the State `C' division hockey tournament here at the KSHA stadium. Praful Karketta notched up a hat-trick in his quadrupule scoring in the 3rd,28th,45th and 51st minutes. Praful's last goal was off a penalty stroke. Susan Tigga (15th and 56th) and Name Gowda (27th,pc) were the other scorers for MLI `B'. Sunil Jadhav scored Vasu's solitary goal in the 4th minute of the match. In the second semifinal league match, Ideal Sports Club (KGF) overpowered University of Agricultural Sciences 5-1. Illavarasan slotted a hat-trick for Ideal Sports Club scoring in the 17th, 21st and 38th. Keshavan opened up the scoring for Ideal in the third minute and Kumaran rounded it off in the 52nd minute off a penalty corner. Appachu scored for UAS in the 14th minute.
