India in 25th spot
NEW DELHI,
OCT. 30.
India slipped to the 25th position as Vikrant Chopra (73) and A. S. Lehal (75) posted plus-par rounds in the second round of the World Amateur Team championship, for the Eisenhower Trophy, at the Rio Mar Club in Puerto Rico on Friday. India, with an aggregate of 291 (143, 148),was tied Portugal, the Philippines, Scotland and Peru.
The defending champion, the United States, widened its lead to eight strokes as it came up with team total of 136 for a two-day aggregate of 268.
Spain (137, 139) 276 was in second position, while Wales, Switzerland and Sweden were third with a total of 279.
