Shinde likely to assume office on November 6

HYDERABAD,
OCT. 31.
The Governor-designate of the State, Sushil Kumar Shinde, is likely to assume office on November 6. He reportedly indicated his preference to the Government on Sunday.
The Governor, S.S. Barnala, will leave Hyderabad to take up his gubernatorial assignment in Tamil Nadu on November 3.
The Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, is hosting a farewell dinner for Mr. Barnala here on Monday. His Cabinet colleagues, judges and senior officials were invited to participate in it.
Dr. Reddy is himself leaving for New Delhi on Tuesday instead of Monday as scheduled earlier to call on the AICC president, Sonia Gandhi, and other Congress leaders. He will return here on November 3 to see off Mr. Barnala.
