TIRUCHI, OCT. 31. The Labour Department has asked the unorganised sector workers to join the Unorganised Workers Board, to avail themselves of various benefits. The Government gives the members a marriage grant of Rs. 2,000, a delivery grant of Rs. 2,000, educational scholarship ranging from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 6,000 for the students of Stand X and above, Rs. one lakh in the event of death, the Labour Inspector, M. Solai Muthu, said in a statement. The Labour Inspector offices at Kallukuzhi Iluppur Road here, Ammamandapam Road at Srirangam, Paramasivapuram at Lalgudi, Rajagopalapuram at Pudukottai town, Pudukottai Road at Aranthangi, Perambalur and Ariyalur register members on Mondays and Fridays. If need be, the officials would conduct special camps for a mass enrolment, Mr. Solai Muthu said.
