KOCHI, OCT. 31. The 120-odd children from the Sacred Heart Orphanage at Mookkannur near Angamaly celebrated the World Children's Day today by videoconferencing with different persons, including the Malayalam film star of Nammal-fame Jishnu. The Reliance Webworld outlet on MG Road was thrown open for the children to videoconference and play computer games. Most children touched a computer keyboard for the first time in their lives today. They played games and surfed the Net. They spent a few hours talking to a variety of people through videoconference. Mr. Jishnu, sitting in Chennai, sang with them the popular hit song `Entamme onnu kaanan'. They were taken around the city by the Rotaract Club of Cochin Harbour.
