Man stabbed
According to the police, the incident was a result of an altercation which had occurred between the two families on Friday. Vidya Prasad, a Rajouri Garden resident, had argued with his neighbour Kailash over the issue of allowing his wife to work. Kailash was unemployed and his wife often insisted that she should be allowed to go out and work. But Kailash was adamant on not giving permission to his wife. Kailash had also taken umbrage to Vidya intervening in his family matters. While the matter seemed to have been settled at that point of time, Kailash was looking to get back at Vidya with vengeance. On Saturday evening, Kailash and his brother Lal Chand, who too was unemployed, went looking for Vidya. However, they met Sunil Kumar, Vidya's nephew. They picked up an argument with him on the issue of intervening in somebody's family matters and soon the altercation gave way to fisticuffs. Kailash and Lal Chand then stabbed Sunil who was admitted to the hospital with serious injuries.
Three nabbed
According to the police, the body of Arvind Yadav, a labourer who worked in the factory and also slept there, was discovered in the factory at Sector-16, Rohini, by one of the three joint owners of the factory. He also found that a laser engraving machine and computer accessories, worth about Rs. 10 lakhs, was missing. A case of robbery-cum-murder was registered at Prashant Vihar police station and investigations taken up. The police began by sorting out the list of current and former workers and employees of the factory. They found that Rajeev Sharma, currently employed in the factory, and another person, Rakesh Kumar, who had worked for a month in the company and left the job about four months ago, were missing from their homes. The police, however, managed to trace the third suspect Arun Kumar. At his instance, Rajeev and Rakesh were also arrested. Apart from the laser engraving machine, used in designing jeans, the police also recovered screw drivers, a dagger and a motorcycle used in the murder.
