Adilabad to meet Vizag
HYDERABAD,
NOV. 1.
Adilabad will take on Visakhapatnam in the AP junior inter-district football championship being held in Adilabad, according to information received here.
In the first semifinal on Monday, Adilabad edged out a fighting West Godavari 4-2 via tie-breaker after the two teams were locked goalless at the end of regulation time. In the tie-breaker, Ravi Kumar, Mallikarjun, Shivakumar and Eswar scored for the winner while Prasad and Vijay Bhaskar found the target for the loser.
In the second semifinal, Vizag recorded a 6-0 win against Nellore. Thataya (2), Nagesh (2), M. Swamy (1) were the scorers with the sixth one being a self-goal.
