The Cuddapah MLA, Md. Ahmedullah, said efforts had been on to set up the Autonagar since 1989. The Collector, Jayesh Ranjan, suggested that automobile mechanics be allotted plots.

The Minister later inaugurated a cement road at Gurralagadda. The District Congress Committee President, Shaik Hussain, the RDD of Information, K. Rampulla Reddy, the Cuddapah RDO, Khaja Mohiuddin, the MRO, Venkateswarlu and auto drivers and mechanics participated.
