Changes effected in Space Centre

NAGERCOIL, NOV. 2. A scientist of the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre in Thiruvananthapuram, R.V. Perumal, has taken over as the Director of Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre on superannuation of the incumbent, N. Vedachalam.

A native of Nalattinputhur near Kovilpatti, Mr. Perumal held many important positions such as Project Director of PSLV, GSLV and Director (Projects), VSSC. He has also received the ASI Award (1994), the HK Firodia Award for Science and Technology (2001) and the Padmabushan for Science and Technology.
