Thrissur
By Our Staff Reporter
THRISSUR, NOV. 2. The Vice- Chancellor of the Kerala Agricultural University, K.V. Peter, was blocked by agitating employees of the university hostel in front of his residence at Vellanikkara this morning. Dr Peter was proceeding to the University. He was later able to leave after the police arrested the employees. The hostel employees have been holding an indefinite fast for the past week in front of his residence. Their case is that the Vice Chancellor has not implemented an assurance that they would be appointed as casual labourers in the University farms.
