Bank of Maharashtra net at Rs. 108 crores
CHENNAI: Bank of Maharashtra has recorded a lower net profit of Rs. 108.16 crores in the six months ended September 30, 2004 against Rs. 151 crores. Total income of Rs. 1,349.81 crores was almost the same as that in the corresponding period last year. Non-interest income stood at Rs. 157.59 crores against Rs. 253.25 crores as a result of lower income from sale of investments. Total business has improved by 20.4 per cent and crossed the Rs. 37,700-crore mark, says a bank release.
