Listing agreement for debentures

CHENNAI: The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has released a listing agreement for listing of all debentures. It has been stipulated that all the debentures in the meaning of Section 2(12) of the Companies Act, 1956 and any other debt instruments, which are proposed to be listed on recognised stock exchanges will now be listed by entering into the listing agreement for debentures. This agreement is meant to list the debentures issued by all entities except supra national organisations like Asian Development Bank and World Bank.

The circular for model listing agreement for debentures is available on the website www.sebi.gov.in.
