Pondicherry
By Our Staff Reporter
PONDICHERRY, NOV. 2. More than 2,000 residents, including 500 women, of Thulakanathammam Nagar and other residential pockets in the Mudaliarpet block today staged a road roko at Nayanarmandapam on the Pondicherry-Cuddalore road protesting against the delay in rushing relief materials and pumping out rain water from the area. Many colonies were inundated during the recent rains. After revenue officials and police met the protesters and assured them that steps would be taken to provide relief the protesters dispersed.
