Telephone connections

KOLLAM, NOV. 2. People coming under the telephone exchanges Chinnakada, Vellayittambalam, Pallimukku, Kavanad and Uliyakovil can get their local and STD telephone connections by paying just Re.1.

The initial instalment for the local connection facility is Rs.250. The balance amount will have to be paid in five instalments of Rs.150 each.

Those who wish to avail themselves of STD facilities have to pay Rs.500 as the first instalment. The rest for the amount has to be paid in five instalments of Rs. 300 each.No charges for the installation need be paid.

Customers whose telephone services have been discontinued due to non-payment of dues are not eligible for the offer, the statement from the office of the General Manager, Kollam Telecom, said. Details can be had from the General Manager's office at Kadappakada.
