SRINAGAR, NOV. 2. A two-member team from North Yorkshire Police has failed to secure the release of an 8-year-old boy from his father, who after divorcing his wife "whisked him away in August 2003." According to reports, on a complaint filed by a Kashmir-born British national, Tehseen Kousar, a two-member team from North Yorkshire Police arrived here to help her secure the child, Nabeel. But they failed to trace Nabeel's father, Mohammad Iqbal Khan. The team raided various places in Srinagar to get in touch Mr. Khan. But his whereabouts are not known, the sources said.
