Jammu & Kashmir
By Our Special Correspondent
SRINAGAR, NOV. 2. The Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, today said that he was not opposed to the demand of the Hurriyat Conference leaders to allow them to visit Pakistan before holding the third round of talks with the Centre. "I think they (the Centre) should allow them to go," Mr. Sayeed said at a news conference on the eve of completion of two years of coalition Government in the State. He said there should not be any problem in their going since the atmosphere was conducive. The United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government at the Centre was keen to thrash out a solution to the Kashmir problem by holding talks with the separatists. However, it was not necessary that talks should be held at the prime ministerial level, the Mufti said.
