Forecast: Mainly clear sky. At Waltair, the maximum temperature was 30.8 degree Celsius and the minimum was 23.6 degree Celsius on Tuesday. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 65 per cent and at 5.30 p.m. was 67 per cent.

At Airport, the maximum and minimum temperatures were 32.8 degree Celsius and 23.2 degree Celsius. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 65 per cent and at 5.30 p.m. was 70 per cent. The maximum and minimum temperatures at the Dolphin's Nose were 30.7 degree Celsius and 20.5 degree Celsius. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 78 per cent.

BSNL cell tower

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has commissioned its cellular tower installed at the Old Post Office. This will facilitate better coverage in the Old Town, parts of the Naval Base, Port Area, Shipyard and Beach Road. Earlier, these areas were covered by the Velampeta tower.

Lepakshi offer

Lepakshi (AP State Handicrafts Emporium) is offering 10 per cent discount on all handicrafts and handloom items at its exhibition from Tuesday till November 13, for Diwali, according its manager, K. Sreehari.

FSI fellowship

Fishery Survey of India (FSI) will award a fellowship for eligible persons for the `integrated fishery model off Visakhapatnam coast' project funded by the Department of Ocean Development for three years. A monthly stipend of Rs. 8,000 will be given during the first two years and Rs.9,000 for the third year plus HRA as admissible. Details can be had by ringing up 2562884/2502105.

The Vizagapatam Chamber of Commerce and Industry's honorary secretary, K. Vijay Kumar, has been nominated as a member of the Zonal Railway Users Consultative Committee of the East Coast Railway.
