Cloudy sky forecast

A generally cloudy sky with minimum temperature hovering around 19 degree Celsius has been the forecast for Wednesday.

The city on Tuesday recorded a maximum temperature of 29.9 degree Celsius and a minimum temperature of 19.2 degree Celsius. The relative humidity stood at 49 per cent.

Award for photographer

Veteran photographer, D. Sreedhar Naidu, was awarded the Life Time Achievement award for the period 2004-05 by the Rotary Club of Hyderabad Midtown here recently. The Rotary District Governor, J. Ranga Rao, presented Mr. Naidu the award.

Office-bearers elected

The Central Excise and Customs Pensioners' Association has elected S. Ramdas Sharma president and G. Rama Rao vice-president. Similarly, the secretary, treasurer and committee members have also been elected, according to a press release.

Emergency walk-in clinic

The LV Prasad Eye Institute has opened a walk-in emergency clinic with a senior comprehensive ophthalmologist and optometrist available round the clock. Anyone with an urgent problem can walk into the clinic without any appointment.

The clinic will focus on emergency cases like fresh trauma, sudden loss of vision, acute red eye, painful eyes and all LVPEI post-operative walk-in patients within a week of surgery, according to a press release here on Tuesday.

Meditation, yoga classes

The Sadhana Seva Samithi is organising meditation, pranayama and yoga classes for women, children and senior citizens from between 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday to Saturday starting Wednesday. The classes will be conducted at K.B.R. National park free of cost. Further details can be obtained by contacting: 23400426, according to a press release.

DD phone-in programme

Doordarshan Kendra, Hyderabad, will telecast a special live phone-in-programme on `DD Direct Plus, Doordarshan DTH service' on DD-1 (Regional) and DD-Saptagiri channels at 6 p.m. on Thursday.

Viewers can clarify their doubts about `Direct to Home' (DTH) by calling: 27031431, 27031432 and 27031433, according to a press release.

SISI programme
