But there is a chance that the clear sky will not last for long as it is likely to become cloudy in the afternoon, he warned. The minimum temperature is likely to be around 12 degrees Celsius.

The maximum temperature at Safdarjung on Tuesday was 28.2 degrees Celsius while minimum was 12.2 degrees Celsius. At Palam, maximum temperature was 27.7 degrees Celsius and minimum was 12.4 degrees Celsius. The maximum humidity at Safdarjung and Palam was 86 per cent and 77 per cent respectively while minimum was 28 per cent and 23 per cent respectively.

Three arrested

NEW DELHINEW DELHINEW DELHINEW DELHINEW, NOV. 2.NOV. 2.NOV. 2 Two alleged auto-lifters driving around on a stolen motorcycle were arrested at Sarai Rohilla in North Delhi on Monday. In another case, the North-East Delhi police recovered eight stolen two-wheelers and arrested a young boy in this connection.

During a routine check, the police intercepted two persons riding a motorcycle. The duo could not produce the documents of the vehicle and on interrogation revealed that they had stolen it from Faridabad in Haryana. The accused, identified as Pawan and Lalit, were arrested and the vehicle impounded.

Tragic end

NEW DELHINEW DELHINEW DELHINEW DELHINEW, NOV. 2.NOV. 2.NOV. 2 In a tragic incident today a 24-year-old woman committed suicide in Karol Bagh in Central Delhi to escape the stigma of a skin disease.

A receptionist at the Lufthansa Airlines office, Anju allegedly hung herself from the ceiling fan. The police suspect that Anju was driven to suicide, as she had been unable to get married because of her skin disease.

Fatally knocked

NEW DELHINEW DELHINEW DELHINEW DELHINEW, NOV. 2.NOV. 2.NOV. 2 A 25-year-old photographer returning home on his motorcycle was killed after an unknown vehicle hit him near South End Apartments on Mehrauli-Badarpur Road at Sangam Vihar in South Delhi on Monday night.

The deceased was identified as Kamal Gosai, a resident of DDA Flats Pul Prahlad Pur. The police have registered a case of causing death due to rash and negligent driving and are trying to identify the other vehicle involved in the accident.

Five nabbed

NEW DELHINEW DELHINEW DELHINEW DELHINEW, NOV. 2.NOV. 2.NOV. 2 Five people allegedly involved in chain snatching cases were arrested at Kirti Nagar in West Delhi on Monday. Four stolen chains were recovered from their possession.

Owing to a sudden spurt in cases of chain snatching, the West Delhi police had set up special anti-snatching pickets at Kirti Nagar. On Monday, some police personnel deployed at one such picket noticed two persons fleeing after abandoning a scooter. They gave a chase and nabbed the duo. They were identified as Kamal and Shiv. During interrogation, the two confessed to their involvement in at least nine cases of snatching in West Delhi. At their instance, the police arrested their accomplices, Romi Thakur, Soni Kherelia and Sanjeev Kumar. While Romi and Soni used to lend their vehicles to the duo for snatching chains and purses, Sanjeev allegedly received the stolen articles from them.
