Cooperative society's lending effort
TIRUCHI: The Lagudi Panchayat Union Aided School Teachers and Employees Cooperative Society extended surety loan to the tune of Rs. 22.37 lakhs to its members by getting credit from the Tiruchi District Central Cooperative Bank. Speaking at the 27th annual general meeting of the society here recently, its special officer, Sinnanjan, said the society had been earning profit for the last 26 years and had invested over Rs. 10 lakhs in other cooperative institutions. The special officer of the Tiruchi District Cooperative Union, R. Balakrishnan, also spoke.
