SFI, PDSU, coaching centre students clash

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD, NOV. 3. A day after a student, Rajasekhar (18), committed suicide on the Narayana Coaching Centre premises, activists of some student associations allegedly clashed with students of the centre on Wednesday urging the latter to boycott classes over Rajasekhar's death.

However, students of the centre argued with the activists that the management of the centre was not responsible for Rajasekhar's death. Trouble started when activists of the Students Federation of India (SFI) and the Progressive Democratic Students Union (PDSU) barged into the Centre demanding the inmates to boycott classes.

A scuffle ensued between the union activists and the students when the latter refused to boycott classes. The union members reportedly pelted stones at the centre's building forcing the police to cane the agitators.

The Malakpet police arrested PDSU activists --Upender, Padma, Bhaskar, Manimala and Parvathi.
