The city recorded a maximum temperature of 27.4 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 18 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. The humidity was 66 per cent.

At the airport, the maximum temperature was 26.3 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 16.9 degrees Celsius. The humidity was 59 per cent.

The forecast for Thursday is: the sky will be partly cloudy. The minimum temperature will be 17 degrees Celsius.

Designing

The Small Industries Service Institute will conduct a one-month entrepreneurship development programme in textile designing, tie and dye, block printing, textile painting and embroidery from November 16.

It will cover both the technical and management aspects of the textile designing apart from the planning, launching and management aspects. The last date for receiving applications is November 10. Details can be had on Ph: 23351581.

Course

`Hungama'

Deepika Children's League will organise a cultural fest, "Hungama 2004", for students of Bangalore at the Christ College auditorium on November 7. The festival will include competitions in folk dance, debate, quiz, skits and Bharatanatyam. Three students each from a school can take part in the competition. Names can be registered on November 5. Training

Pulse Tone, a Union Government training centre, will conduct a two-week full-time intensive job-oriented training programme in mobile phone software and hardware repairs from November 22 at 58/59 B Cross, 4th N Block, Rajajinagar. Free hostel accommodation will be provided for candidates from outside Bangalore.

Workshop

The World Intellectual Property Organisation, Geneva, in association with the Ministry of Human Resource Development and the Indian Institute of Science, will conduct a training workshop on licensing and negotiation skills when dealing with Intellectual Property Rights. The three-day workshop will start on November 18 at the CSIC auditorium.

`IT Spectrum'
