MADIKERI, NOV. 4. The Deputy Commissioner, Srikant Valagad, has appealed to people to keep their surroundings clean to prevent the spread of diseases. He was speaking after presiding over a meeting, an official press release issued here on Thursday said. Mr. Valagad instructed the officials concerned to ask the contractors to collect garbage from hospitals, community health centres and primary health centres to dispose them of <149>in a proper manner. Similarly, the civic bodies in other taluks should make arrangements to transport garbage to places meant for dumping them, Mr. Valagad said. He asked the officials concerned to identify hotels which <149>were polluting the environment.
