Salem Steel Plant bags award
SALEM: Salem Steel Plant has been selected to receive the first prize in the national quality control competition of the Indian Institute of Metals among the pig iron, direct reduction and major re-rolling categories in the steel sector. According to a release, the annual award, which the Salem plant had won for the eighth time since 1991, would be presented at the 42nd National Metallurgists' Day celebrations and 58th annual technical meeting of the institute to be held at Thiruvanathapuram on November 17.
