APTS pact with TCS

HYDERABAD: Tata Consultancy Services signed an agreement with Andhra Pradesh Technology Services (APTS) to PKI enable (Public Key Infrastructure) electronic applications of APTS and issue co-branded digital certificates. Randeep Sudan, Managing Director of APTS (wholly owned government corporation), said that initially digital certification (signatures) would be used only in e-procurement, and extended to applications such as e-seva, paperless office in due course. Rajesh Nambiar, Regional Manager and Head of TCS in Hyderabad, and M. Vidyasagar, Executive Vice-President, TCS, said APTS was the latest to join the TCS-CA (Certifying Authority) Trust Network which was 30-member strong.
