Madras, Annamalai in quarterfinals

MANGALORE, NOV. 4. Host Mangalore joined Madras, Annamalai and Bangalore in the quarterfinals of the All-India inter-university women's ball badminton championship here on Thursday.

The results: Pre-quarterfinals: Madras bt Periyar 29-11, 25-29, 29-20; Bangalore bt Sree Venkateswara 29-24, 29-28; Annamalai bt Srikrishnadevaraya 29-12, 29-25; Mangalore bt Nagpur 29-28, 24-29, 29-24.
