NDA meet on November 14
By Gargi Parsai
NEW DELHI,
NOV. 4.
A meeting of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is to be convened on November 14 to discuss the controversy generated over the alleged resurgence of Hindutva in the Bharatiya Janata Party.
This was decided upon during an hour-long meeting between the NDA convener, George Fernandes, and the BJP president, L.K. Advani, at the latter's residence, according to the Janata Dal (United) spokesman, Shiv Kumar. The two leaders would also discuss the coming Assembly elections in Bihar, Mr. Kumar said.
Talking to mediapersons, the BJP general secretary, Arun Jaitley, said there was no contradiction between what Mr. Advani had said at the party's National Council meeting and the view of the NDA.
