Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, Nov. 4. Three persons accused in the recent murder of Imam Faheem Gauri, at Orai township in Uttar Pradesh's Jalaun district, were arrested early today at a local resthouse along the Jaora road. Police Superintendent Varun Kapoor told mediapersons that Mohammad Ishaq, Israj and Naseem were apprehended following a tip-off. They hailed from Jalaun's Kuthoun and Bohadpur villages. ``Ishaq's namesake, from Bajeeda hamlet, hatched the murder plot. Sabeer and Irfan are two other accused. After the crime, all of them left for Jhansi and then three reached here via Bhopal. The SP (Jalaun) has been alerted,'' the officer added. Gauri's murder was a result of a dispute between Sunnis and members of the Deobandi community. Subsequent tension at Jaluan led to a mob slaying Sunni Imam Waseed Qadri at his residence. Curfew was imposed later. -- UNI
