Ganesh immersion procession peaceful

CHAMARAJANAGAR, NOV. 4. The Ganesh immersion procession in Chamarajanagar town passed off peacefully amid tight security. Over 1000 police personnel were deployed along the procession route.

Witnessed by a large crowd, the procession began from the Gurunanjashettar Choultry at 9.30 a.m. and took the route taken by the traditional procession to Doddarasana Kola (pool) at 11.30 a.m. Various cultural troupes performed during the procession.
