Australian school opened
According to the school Principal, Ian Sydney-Smith, admissions are now open for Class XI and the session will begin from January 2005. Students clearing Class XI from this school can, apart from Indian universities, pursue further studies in the United Kingdom, Australia, the United States and other Western countries without having to clear the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), depending on the admission criteria.
Philatelic exhibition
Workshops on philately have been organised for school children and special covers on the themes "E-Post", "Gangetic Dolphin" and "Philately" are being released at the exhibition.
Free health camp
The Consultant Cardiologist of Escorts, Piyush Jain, said that for prevention of diabetes and heart-related diseases clinical tests at early stages were necessary. The Director of the National Book Trust, Shashi Shekhar Sharma, inaugurated the camp and nearly 200 employees of the Trust availed of the free services.
