Rakesh Sood, new envoy to Afghanistan

NEW DELHI, NOV. 4. Disarmament expert and Deputy Chief of Mission at the Indian Embassy in Washington, Rakesh Sood, was today appointed Ambassador to Afghanistan, replacing Vivek Katju, who now moves over to Thailand. Mr. Sood is expected to take up his assignment shortly. Pradip Singh will take over as the next envoy to Finland, succeeding O.P.Gupta.
