St. Gregorios gospel convention

HYDERABAD, NOV. 4. The St. Gregorios Orthodox Cathedral, Gandhinagar, is organising the annual gospel convention and `Perunal' of its patron saint St. Gregorios (Kochu Thirumeni), the first declared saint of the Indian Orthodox Church.

Evening prayers and gospel messages by Thomas Zakaria are being held everyday from November 2 between 6.15 p.m. to 8.15 p.m. and are to continue till Friday to commemorate the saint's 102 death anniversary, a press release said.

A `padayatra' will be taken out from St. Mary's Orthodox Church, Ramachandrapuram, on November 6, from 6.30 a.m. to the cathedral at Gandhinagar traversing St. Andrew's Orthodox Church, Secunderabad.

The `Perunal' celebrations will start on November 7 with morning prayers at 8.30 a.m. followed by the Holy Mooninmel Qurbana with the chief celebrant being H.G. Yuhanon Mar Milithious, the Rasa and Benediction.
