ALAPPUZHA, NOV. 5. The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has offered various incentives to customers which include users of BSNL basic and mobile phones during the Deepavali season. At a press conference here today, the BSNL Alappuzha district general manager, P.V. Sebastian, said India Telecom Cards would be distributed free of cost to those who pay their bills promptly between October 22 and December 22. The cards would be given only to those whose bill amount was Rs. 2,000 or above, Mr. Sebastian said. Mr. Sebastian said those buying three BSNL mobile recharge coupons of the same denomination would be presented with another coupon of the same denomination. The offer period is from October 22 to November 15. Mr. Sebastian said the BSNL mobile coverage in the district had expanded considerably during the current year. The panchayats of Mannancherry, Chettikulamgara and Kandaloor had been brought under mobile coverage during the last few months, he said. In addition, the area where the Kayamkulam National Thermal Power Corporation station is situated has also been brought under full coverage.
