VIJAYAWADA, NOV. 6. Dola Banerjee with 2655 points in the recurve section, and Jhanu Hansda with 2633 in the compound bow category led their respective fields in Saturday's second phase FITA competitions to qualify for the first Olympic knockout round. In all, eight women and 32 men in the recurve, and eight men and three women in the compound made the grade in the National ranking prize money archery tournament at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation stadium here. Even the day-long drizzle failed to dampen the performances of the participants, who turned out better scores today. At one stage, Tarundeep Rai and Satyadev uprooted one of the beach umbrellas as they advanced to the target for checking their scores.

Sushma 2424 (UP), 8. Bombayla Devi 2382 (Man). Compound: 1. Jhanu Hansda 2633 (Jha), 2. Sakro Besra 2488 (Jha), 3. Jyoti Kumari (Jha) 2245.
