Cricket betting racket: 2 held

NEW DELHI,
NOV. 6.
Two persons have been arrested for allegedly running a betting racket during the fourth cricket Test match between India and Australia which concluded on Friday.
According to the police, a raid was carried out in a house at Adarsh Nagar in North-West Delhi yesterday from where Sanjiv Kumar and Satish Kumar were arrested. Seven mobile phones, a recording instrument and a colour television were recovered. The duo told the police that they began running the betting racket after incurringlosses in the onion business.
Bribery charge
An upper division clerk of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi has been arrested by the Anti-Corruption Branch of the Delhi Government for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe from a person in lieu of clearing his father's dues.
Following a complaint, a trap was laid on Thursday and the clerk arrested.
